European Space Agency (ESA) hosted the 6th European Ground System Architecture Workshop (ESAW 2017) at the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany, 20-21 June 2017. ESAW provided an international forum for the exchange of ideas, results, new trends and practices in the ground segment for space missions.

The new year has started, and we are already hands on new projects. Looking back at 2016, we can agree it was a dynamic and meaningful year. Amphinicy was granted with two funds for SMEs which supported our sales and marketing activities as well as business development of our innovative product, Blink. We were busy and "out there" and would like to share our travel diary for 2016.

People outside of the space industry might be surprised to hear that Toulouse could well be the space technology capital of Europe. With the likes of giants like Airbus DS, Thales-Alenia, CNES (the French space agency) and several hundred smaller organisations active in the space sector employing 12.000 people, Toulouse is one of the rare European cities where saying "I work in the satellite business" sounds rather ordinary. :)

At the Department of Continuing Education, University of Oxford, London a course titled Satellite Communications: Markets, Business and Technology was held for the second year in a row.  The course has become a standard 3­-day course at Oxford in the category of engineering. This year, course also involved a small team from Amphinicy.
