DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for our customers and our in-house projects. The job is based in the center of Europe, in the multicultural country of Luxembourg.
As a System Engineer you will bring your expertise in networking and operating systems configuration, introducing best practices in projects which operate under demanding and challenging conditions. As a DevOps, you will implement Continuous Integration pipelines, using automation to create iron-clad delivery processes.
You will be working in a variety of projects, internal and external, but you will always be surrounded by a committed team of experienced, friendly, and talented colleagues, who are passionate about software development and support each other perfectly. You will have the chance to work with innovative technologies and take a leading role in shaping the satellite communications of the future.
What we are looking for
- As our primary expert in the fields of networking, operating systems and DevOps, you look forward to shape how we do things and put your personal touch in our path to excellence.
- You have the interest and flexibility to work on a variety of projects and switch roles when needed to contribute even more
- At least five years of experience in network engineering with at least a CCNA (or equivalent) certification.
- At least five years of experience in systems engineering and extensive knowledge of Linux-based systems(Red Hat, Debian). Red Hat certification or equivalent is a plus.
- At least five years of experience in DevOps, with a thorough understanding of the continuous integration pipeline and the issues it attempts to solve. Previous experience as developer or tester is a plus.
- Experience in cloud technologies and platforms (AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Experience in CI/CD tools/platforms (Azure DevOps, Github, Gitlab) and build pipelines for Java and C++ applications.
- Experience in configuration management (Ansible.
- Experience with containers (Docker and Kubernetes).
- An aspiration to gain a thorough understanding of satellite communications and an eagerness to comprehend end-to-end complex integrated systems.
- Eagerness to work closely with developers, architects, product owners and field engineers, in order to understand requirements, resolve issues and shape the delivery process.
- Experience working with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, TSDB.
- Experience with Python and bash.
- Experience with REST, SOAP and XML.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- You are self-motivated and enjoy taking on the role of the gatekeeper of quality for our software deliverables.
- You are comfortable working in Agile mode.
- Effective communication skills, written and spoken English at proficiency level..
- You are an excellent team player.
- You are expected to relocate to Luxembourg, as you’re expected to work either at the office, at the client location, or from home.
- Preference is given to candidates holding a valid work permit for Luxembourg.
