The main purpose of the system is to verify the EDRS MOC component in isolation and to validate EDRS subsystems to ensure they support the launch and operations activities. It supports the incremental, end-to-end tests and data-flow. The main features of the Simulator are run-time configuration and interconnection of simulated components, easy development of new simulated components or new simulation models and simple definition of scenarios and fault injection.
GSTSIM supports verification and validation of the EDRS subsystems. It is used during development cycles and for testing new software versions.
