An IAC 2022 event: Blink, the first wideband SDR for the satellite industry

Blink, the first wideband SDR for the satellite industry

Amphinicy Technologies, a satellite software provider from Zagreb and Luxembourg and an exhibitor at the IAC 2022 in Paris, will host an event at booth C23. The focus of the event is Blink, the first wideband software-defined radio (SDR) for the satellite industry.

Amphinicy Technologies has developed Blink, a wideband pure-software modem for the satellite industry. Blink enables anyone interested in Earth Observation to receive satellite payload data in real-time - reliably, efficiently, and conveniently. It is specifically designed to run on commercial off-the-shelf servers, without custom hardware. With Blink, the ground segment becomes more affordable, reusable, and flexible.

Blink is a new kind of SDR built from the ground up for speed. Over the last year, significant performance improvements were achieved, allowing Blink to push the limits of channel bandwidths which could be supported on a single server. During the IAC 2022 event, Blink product capabilities will be presented followed by a short demonstration. Audience members will be able to talk directly with Amphinicy engineers and ask questions.

“The achieved results are unprecedented. They represent significant advances compared to the global state of the art in ground systems development. IAC 2022 is the first event at which they will be presented.” says Tomislav Nakić - Alfirević, Product Manager at Amphinicy.

This topic is likely to be of interest to a large part of the Earth Observation community, including satellite operators and ground segment operators, as well as the broader satellite communications industry.

We cordially invite all interested parties to visit booth C23 at the IAC 2022, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, 3:00-3:30 PM CEST to meet the team and learn more.
